Two Men Posing as Female Masseuses Arrested After Robbing Client of Ksh.280,000

Two men are in police custody after orchestrating an elaborate online scam in which they posed as female masseuses and robbed a client during a staged massage session in Nairobi.

The suspects, Alex Mugo Wachira and Simon Chomba Mbogo, reportedly created fake online profiles, presenting themselves as attractive women offering professional massage services. Their deception lured a male victim to a supposed spa located along Lumumba Drive in Kasarani.

According to a report by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the situation took a dangerous turn shortly after the session began. The suspects pulled out knives, revealing their true identities and complete lack of massage training.

Under threat, the victim was forced to transfer Ksh.280,000 to the suspects’ mobile number. They also took other valuables from him before forcibly ejecting him from the premises.

Following a report filed at Kasarani Police Station, detectives tracked and arrested the two men at a hideout near Kamiti prison, where it’s believed they had been spending the stolen money.

The suspects remain in custody and are expected to be arraigned in court soon.
